Russell Hammer
Legal Education: Russell Hammer graduated with distinction from Southern Illinois University School of Law in May of 2005.
Legal Experience: While in law school Russ worked as a law clerk for a private firm and in the law school's Elder Law Clinic. His clinical experience involved work on behalf of indigent seniors throughout Southern Illinois. Russ focuses his current practice on criminal defense, personal injury, general litigation and family law. He has obtained aquitals and dismissals for many individuals charged with felonies, misdemeanors and drunk driving. He has litigated cases involving motor vehicle accidents, unpaid insurance claims, boundary line issues, and contract disputes.
Community Activities: Russ's professional memberships include the Wisconsin State Bar Association, La Crosse County Bar Association, the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the La Crosse Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the La Crosse Area Young Lawyer's Association. He is past treasurer and vice president of the Monroe County Bar Association and is the secretary-treasurer of the La Crosse Area Young Lawyer's Association.
